LEARN TO SCUBA DIVE !!!

Over the summer holiday season, or by prior arrangement depending on numbers, Surf-n-Fish can provide PADI Open Water, or beginner, scuba diving courses. These courses are built around PADI's eLearning system. PADI's eLearning online system allows you to do the practical part of the Open Water scuba course in just 3 days.

The eLearning online system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos of diving, supported audio & graphics. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace. You can continue your training anywhere you can access the internet, and this avoids lengthy classroom sessions.

After you have successfully completed the eLearning part of the Open Water scuba dive course, then you can proceed to the practical part of the course which has the following basic structure:

Day 1

Meet at Surf-n-Fish in the morning and complete the required paper work, organize equipment and then head off to the local pool for basic skills training. By mid afternoon, return to the shop, and there debrief on skills training, fill tanks and then head home.

This will be the first of your shore dives in the Apollo Bay area. The dive sites will be decided on the day depending on the weather. We will meet at Surf-n-Fish in the morning for a quick briefing before heading off to the dive site. Afterwards we will return to Surf-n-Fish for a debriefing, learning how to wash and care for your gear & fill tanks.

Day 3
